Truck route planner cost calculations consider now toll costs for Europe
A few months ago, most countries in Europe increased their toll costs, some even almost doubling them. The truck toll has therefore become a major cost factor. For our customers to make better tour-plans and cost estimates, we have expanded our value-based routing engine, which already calculates costs for routes to include toll cost estimates for most European countries.
Countries with variable/distance-based tolls included:
Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Belgium, Bulgaria.
Countries with time-based tolls were explicitly not taken into account:
Romania, Latvia, Lithuania, Denmark, Sweden, Netherlands.
Other countries will follow soon.
